The British Newspaper Archive launches

The British Newspaper Archive (BNA) was launched by brightsolid on the 29 November 2011. Details of the BNA are at: http://www.britishnewspaperarchive.co.uk/help/about

The British Newspaper Archive already contains over 3 million pages of UK newspapers published from 1700-1900. UK newspapers published in the 20th century will also be available in increasing numbers as the archive grows. The aim is to digitise 40 million pages over the next ten years. Searching the site can be done at no charge. Viewing full page images, and downloading and printing will be charged for. Details of this can be found here.
