‘Mysterious’ Mandela photographs: can you help?

The Nelson Mandela Foundation have a large collection of uncaptioned photographs and are calling on members of the public to assist them in identifying people. places and events epicted in these. As the BNF botes in a statement on its website:

“You might appear in a photograph with Nelson Mandela without even knowing it. Please help us discover who appears in our “Mysterious Mandela” photographs by using social networks, conventional media or conversations with your friends and family.

“We are hoping people who feature in any of the photographs will come forward with the story behind the picture,” said Sello Hatang, spokesperson for the Nelson Mandela Centre of Memory.

The first series of “Mysterious Mandela” photographs in the Nelson Mandela Centre of Memory archive were published on April 6, 2011. The Centre is presently processing the information it received following the release of the material.”
