“The National Data Archives we are launching today, will enable NBS provide timely statistics that will be readily accessible online, for planning by various stakeholders including the government and the business community,” he noted.

“I would like to note that NBS had moved steadily on this course since its formation and the database we are launching today is a key milestone in this regard,” Mr Khijjah said.
NADA is part of data development and dissemination component in the implementation of Tanzania Statistical Master Plan (TSMP), whose implementation was endorsed mid this year by the government.

“It will allow for increased quality and diversity research, improve reliability and relevance of data, reduce any duplications,” she explained.
NADA will increase donor and public confidence as well as improve publishing and dissemination efficiency of the National Statistical Office (NSO).
